We were having trouble with our RSS feed aggregator. It’s fixed now but if you ever notice that the feeds have stale dates then that means there is trouble again. We try to fix things like this when they happen but are sadly dependent on others to deal with WordPress updates that break features or plugins that introduce unwanted changes or even the inability to deal with non standard RSS feeds. Just know that if this happens we do what we can to fix it as soon as we can. In other cases a site may change its RSS feed to something that can’t be fetched or updated. In that case we usually rotate them out and fill them with another feed from somewhere else. It’s like playing whack a mole.
